Call Out 03/2019. Ben Vrackie.

Call Out 03/2019: Team Call Out to Ben Vrackie yesterday afternoon responding to a casualty with a traumatic injury. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.

Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. A wide variety of professions can be found in the Team. All are skilled and experienced mountaineers. Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.

PPE Inspection Course.

A PPE Inspection Course was held at our St. John’s Blairgowrie Base on Sat 6th April, looking at equipment and how to identify issues and problems.

January Training session.

For this month’s Team training we ventured to Glenshee to look at casualty extraction, then back to our Blairgowrie St John’s Base for a session on technical rigging.

Training at Glenalmond College.

This month’s Team training was our annual day/night session. Massive thanks to all the staff and students at Glenalmond College for letting us use their grounds, played casualties, and fed us after the training.
