Call Out 23/2018: Full Team Call Out to the Ben Lawers area to search for two missing hillwalkers, who were successfully located. As ever, thanks to R951 for their assistance, flying in some challenging conditions.

Please remember maps DO NOT require batteries. An over reliance on mobile phone navigational software is on the rise in Scotland, and is one of the most common reasons why people get lost in the mountains. Developing a knowledge of conventional map and compass skills are vitally important – there are no safe paths in the Scottish Mountains.

Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. A wide variety of professions can be found in the Team. All are skilled and experienced mountaineers. Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
