Call Out 27/2018: Team Call Out to the Ben Lawers area to search for two missing hillwalkers, who were successfully located using SARLOC technology, and then walked off the mountain by Team Members.

Please remember maps DO NOT require batteries. An over reliance on mobile phone navigational software is on the rise in Scotland, and is one of the most common reasons why people get lost in the mountains. Also having the proper and appropriate equipment is of equal importance – there are no safe paths in the Scottish Mountains.

The Bank Bar’s Bandathon raised another £4000.00 for the Team – a fantastic effort.

Call Out 25/2018: Full team call out to Ben Lawers for a medical emergency. Thankfully, the hillwalker was located, by R951 just as the Team had mobilised and were then stood down.

Tayside Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers who live in the operational area. A wide variety of professions can be found in the Team. All are skilled and experienced mountaineers. Team Members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
